Things to know

The cost to play is £4 per person per session.

There’s no need to get in touch with us before playing, although you’re very welcome to. Just turn up and join in.

You’ll need to bring non-marking indoor footwear and a badminton racquet, although we do have some club racquets which you’re welcome to borrow

We play with plastic shuttlecocks which are provided

We use the “new” rally scoring system

The sports centres we play at have showers and changing facilities but may not have lockers

We have a block booking at the Woodcock Sports Centre for 4 courts – the whole of the sports hall.

Each session attracts around 20 players so expect to be playing doubles for most, if not all, of the time.

We have players of a wide range of abilities.

We trust that experienced players will spend some time playing with and helping the newer players while also getting plenty of good challenging games.

We trust that all who play with us will show respect to their fellow players. This is a sports club and sport is at its best when all participants are aiming to be the best they can be.
